Alison Silva, LICSW

Therapist

Alison Silva, LICSW received her Bachelor’s Degree in Sociology from St. Anselm College and her Master’s in Social Work from Boston College.  She began working in the mental and behavioral health field in 2007 and has experience providing individual, family, and group therapy in a variety of settings including residential treatment, partial hospitalization programs, intensive outpatient, and outpatient therapy.

Alison has experience working with adults and adolescents with anxiety, depression, mood and personality disorders, eating disorders and complex trauma.  Alison has a passion for Internal Family Systems Therapy and incorporates parts work as well as Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Mindfulness practices, and psychodynamic therapy in her sessions.  She also has a strong interest in mind-body connections and how the body, mind, and nervous system can be used in the healing process.

Alison’s goal as a therapist is to provide a safe and supportive environment in which clients can turn inward, building awareness of and connecting to their internal world.  Through this process clients can expect to build insight, understanding, and work toward compassionate healing and a better sense of how to deal with thoughts, emotions, and reactions as they arise.
